Our next game is Saturday, September 13!
Â
Our team began with three energetic boys who became great friends in preschool. When a change of schools for one boy meant they wouldn't see each other every day, their parents looked for a way to keep the trio together.
Soccer was the perfect answer—a way to keep their friendship strong while providing a fun, active outlet for all that five-year-old energy. What started as a plan for three friends quickly grew as other families joined.
Today, we are a full team of kids who are becoming quick friends on the field. They are running hard, learning an exciting game, and building a fantastic new community together.
Coach Amber played soccer herself for many years and graciously agreed to lead our Tigers. Her coaching style is gentle and nurturing with strong boundaries and some grace for imperfection. She talked Assistant Coach James into helping her out on the field.
"Team Mothers" Kat and Pam pride themselves on nutritious snacks, organization within the chaos of being working mommies, and a love for bringing people together.

GAME-DAY SNACK GUIDE
The goal here is a quick energy boost that won't sit heavy in their stomachs. Also, fruit is an AYSO requirement for halftime.
Orange Wedges: The classic soccer snack for a reason! They're hydrating and easy for little hands to hold. Please pre-slice them at home.
Grapes: A big hit with kids. To keep them cool, you can freeze the night before and they'll thaw to the perfect temperature by halftime. Please slice all grapes in half lengthwise to prevent a choking hazard.
Watermelon or Melon Sticks: Super hydrating and easy to eat. Cutting them into sticks or cubes is perfect.
Apples: Target, Walmart, and most grocery stores sell bags of small apples, which are the perfect size for our kiddos. Please wash in advance and have 1-2 apples per player.
Clementines: Easy for kids to peel themselves and perfectly portioned. Please have 2-3 clementines per player.
Berries: Washed strawberries or blueberries in a small cup or bag.
Applesauce or Fruit Pouches: No spoon needed and guaranteed to be mess-free. Look for brands with no added sugar.
Bananas: While bananas are a great snack, they bruise easily and some children won't eat them if they're too green or too brown. However, you are welcome to bring them.
This snack can be a bit more substantial to help them recover after all that running. Please put unwrapped items into small zip-top bags for easy distribution.
String Cheese or Mini Cheese Wheels: A great source of protein and calcium. Easy to open and eat.
Whole-Grain Goldfish or Pretzels: Portion them into small zip-top bags at home for easy distribution.
Mini Whole-Wheat Bagels: Bring a tub of cream cheese and a plastic knife for a quick spread. Or, you can pre-make them.
Low-Sugar Granola Bars: Be sure to check labels for sugar content and avoid any with nuts due to potential allergies. Brands like Zbar or MadeGood are often good options.
Individual Bags of Popcorn: Lightly salted and a fun, crunchy treat.
Hard-Boiled Eggs: A fantastic protein source. Please peel them at home and bring individually wrapped in small zip-top bags for easy distribution.
Homemade Mini Muffins: A batch of low-sugar banana-oat or zucchini muffins can be a wonderful, healthy treat.Â
Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches: As long as no one on the team has a peanut allergy, PB&J is a great option. Please cut into quarters.
The best drink is always water. All beverages should be kept cold on ice. Please do not bring milk due to spoiling concerns.
Small, kid-sized water bottles.
100% juice boxes (not juice "drinks").
No soda, energy drinks, or Gatorade for the children, please.
Check for Allergies: Before your snack week, please check with me about any food allergies on the team. It's always safest to avoid nuts and nut products.
Keep it Cool: A small cooler or insulated bag is your best friend for keeping fruit fresh and drinks cold.
Portion it Out: Pre-portioning everything into individual bags or containers at home will make snack time smooth and fast.
Bring a Large Trash Bag! Please bring a bag to collect all wrappers and leftover peels to help keep our field clean. You can drop your bag in the trash can by the food stand.
